The Pickleball World Cup 2026 officially opened on the evening of Sept. 2 at Tien Son Sports Arena in Da Nang.
The tournament has attracted nearly 5,000 registered athletes representing more than 80 countries and territories. Matches will run through Sept. 6.
A number of prominent international players are competing, including Jay Devilliers of France, Harsh Mehta of India, Roos Van Reek of the Netherlands, Nicola Schoeman of Australia and Vivian Glozman of the United States.
Vietnam is represented by several notable players, including Do Minh Quan, Phuc Huynh, Quang Duong and Ly Hoang Nam.
In the Open event, Vietnam has been drawn in Group A alongside Colombia, the Cayman Islands and Chile.
Notably, Guinness World Records has recognized the tournament for having pickleball players representing the largest number of countries and territories.
