The Thai players dominated the game and were able to easily defeat their Vietnamese opponents 25-19 in the first set.
The Vietnamese team were able to show consistent play throughout the game, setting up their offensive line carefully in the second set. They even led the set 22-20 at one point, but a mistake by the Vietnamese players changed the situation, resulting in a final score of 26-24 in favour of the Thai team.
Although the national team opened the scoring in the third set, they ultimately failed to maintain their dominance and the Thai players were able to pull off a 25-18 victory.
The final result saw Thailand trounce Vietnam 3-0 to win a bronze medal.
This therefore marks the second time the Vietnamese has ranked fourth in the tournament after the 2012 season.
