The clash between Selangor and Hanoi Police FC (CAHN) in Group A ended in disappointment for the Vietnamese side, as the home team secured a 2-0 win.

Selangor started on the front foot, making the most of their home advantage to apply consistent pressure throughout the first half. However, goalkeeper Nguyen Filip stood firm, delivering a series of sharp saves to help CAHN keep a clean sheet in the first 45 minutes.

Early in the second half, CAHN had a golden chance to take the lead in the 50th minute, but Bui Hoang Viet Anh’s well-struck volley was denied by Selangor’s goalkeeper.

Momentum soon shifted. In the 60th minute, Faisal Halim capitalized on a chaotic moment inside the box to tap in the opening goal for Selangor. Just nine minutes later, he completed his brace with a composed finish from the edge of the area after CAHN’s defense failed to close him down.

With this loss, CAHN’s Shopee Cup journey came to an end. They now sit fifth in Group A with 4 points and are officially eliminated with one match left to play.
