
On February 25, the Government issued Decree No. 36, outlining the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Government Office.
The Government Office is a ministerial-level agency that serves as the executive body for the Government and the Prime Minister, including Deputy Prime Ministers.
Key responsibilities of the Government Office
According to the decree, the Government Office is tasked with 16 key responsibilities, including comprehensive advisory and coordination roles for both the Government and the Prime Minister, administrative procedure control, and ensuring information flows for leadership, management, and public communication.
Additionally, the office is responsible for drafting and issuing legal documents within its jurisdiction, reviewing and handling unlawful documents, processing submissions from ministries, agencies, provincial authorities, and other entities, and ensuring effective oversight through inspection and citizen complaint resolution. It also provides professional guidance for the offices of ministries and provincial People's Committees.

This marks a reduction from 20 units in 2022, aligning with efforts to streamline administrative structures.
