Luciana Fuste beat nearly 70 contestants from across the globe to clinch the title of the pageant. This is the second time a Peruvian contestant has been crowned Miss Grand international.

The organizing board awarded the titles first, second and third runner up to contestants from Myanmar, Colombia and the United States.

Vietnamese representative Le Hoang Phuong was named fourth runner up of the global contest. She also won the title Miss Best National Costume.

Answering the judge’s question, she said as an architect, she feels pain when she sees houses and families destroyed because of war. Thousands of people have died, and children cannot go to school.

“I want my voice to be heard. Let children know how beautiful peace is. Stop war. Return peace to humanity!” she said.

Organisers also presented the title fifth runner up to contestants from the Netherlands, Thailand, Indonesia, Dominica and Angola.

Earlier, the organizing board selected the top 20 contestants from the United States, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Honduras, Laos, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, India, Ukraine, Thailand, Peru, Angola, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, France, Spain, and Vietnam.

They then crossed out 10 names to qualify for the Top 10, with contestants coming from Myanmar, Colombia, Angola, the Netherlands, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Dominican Republic and Peru.

The title Miss Best in Swimsuit went to a contestant from the Dominican Republic, while the title Miss Popular Vote was presented to a contestant from Myanmar.
