Speaking at the event, journalist Nguyen Thien Thuat, Editor-in-Chief of Sports and Culture newspaper and head of the organising committee, described 2025 as a year marked by a vibrant and confident music scene. From large-scale “super concerts” to a wave of national pride expressed through music, a new generation of artists is steadily shaping Vietnam’s position on the regional map.

According to him, this year’s nominees and winners reflect a generation of artists effectively embracing national cultural orientations, blending traditional values with global influences in a selective and creative way.

Music categories continue to spotlight remarkable names and works. Soobin was named Male Singer of the Year, while Hoa Minzy took home Female Singer of the Year. CONGB received New Artist of the Year.

Composer Nguyen Van Chung was honoured as Composer of the Year, and DTAP won Producer of the Year.

In the product categories, the album Phao cuu sinh by Huong Tram was named Album of the Year. The music video Muc ha vo nhan by Soobin, Binz and People’s Artist Huynh Tu won Music Video of the Year, while Con gi dep hon by Nguyen Hung was awarded Song of the Year.

The Series of the Year award went to Live Tour: Bui Cong Nam The Story, while Soobin Live Concert: All-Rounder was named Programme of the Year.

A notable highlight was the Special Award presented to Creepy Nuts, recognising their contributions to promoting cultural exchange and musical connections between Vietnam and Japan. Composer Duong Cam also received the Impression Award for his efforts in storytelling through the musical Made in Vietnam.

Alongside music, the sports categories reflected a year of strong performances. Shooter Trinh Thu Vinh was named Sports Personality of the Year after securing four gold medals at SEA Games 33 across individual and team events, setting three records, and winning gold at the 2025 Asian Cup along with a bronze at the Asian Championships.

Meanwhile, the Young Sports Personality of the Year award went to footballer Nguyen Dinh Bac. Following an impressive year, he played a key role in Vietnam’s gold medal victory at SEA Games 33, as well as triumphs at the U23 Southeast Asian Championship and the ASEAN Cup 2024 in January 2025.

In the category of Sporting Achievement of the Year, the Vietnam U22 national team was honoured for their dramatic comeback victory over Thailand in the SEA Games 33 final, securing the gold medal.

The Cong Hien Awards once again underscored the dynamic interplay between creativity and excellence, celebrating individuals and achievements that continue to shape Vietnam’s cultural and sporting identity.
