Despite the defeat, Thanh Thuy once again delivered an impressive performance. The match marked her final appearance for the Japanese side, where she played a key role in helping the team finish seventh in the standings and reach the quarter-finals.

Following her departure from Japan, Thanh Thuy has returned to Vietnam to rejoin VTV Binh Dien Long An, who are currently competing in the 2026 national championship.

Earlier, the team, led by coach Ngoc Hoa, had already included her in the official 14-player roster for the first phase of the tournament held in Dong Anh, on the outskirts of Hanoi.

In their most recent match, VTV Binh Dien Long An secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Hung Yen, climbing to second place in the standings. With the imminent return of their star outside hitter, the defending champions are expected to become even more formidable in the remainder of the season.
