Do Van Binh has been elected President of the Viet Nam Shooting Federation for 2016-20.

Binh is deputy chairman of board of directors of Song Da Industrial Zone and Urban Construction and Development Joinstock Company in Hanoi.

He will be supported by six vice presidents, one of them being Nguyen Thi Nhung, head coach of the national team.

At a two-day meeting over the weekend in Hanoi, the federation set to make shooting a national elite sport and speed its development among the public, after marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh’s won Olympic gold and silver medals in 2016.

Further goals of the federation are to maintain Viet Nam as one of three best countries in Asia, and bring home more medals from international and Olympic competitions.
