Deputy Minister of Justice of Vietnam Tran Tien Dung and Deputy Head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police of Switzerland Michael Scholl have signed a four-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on sharing experience in law building and enforcement, and execution of international treaties.
The signing of the document was part of Deputy Minister of Justice of Vietnam Tran Tien Dung's visit to the European country over June 20-22.
Under the MoU, the two sides will hold meetings and consultations on the implementation of international treaties as well as sharing professional documents and information on the laws of their respective nation.
In the first two years, both sides will join hands to translate The Hague Convention concluded on November 15, 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudical Documents in Civil or Commercial Matter.
They will also share experience in the execution of The Hague Convention concluded on March 18, 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters, and New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation also made a fact-finding tour of the debt collection office in Bern region to study models and forms used in the host nation to reclaim debts and register for debt confirmation.
