Vietnam’s national U23 football team will compete against Timor Leste in the first match of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship.

The qualification match will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on July 19th.

The national team is in ‘Group I’, together with the U23 teams of the Republic of Korea, Timor Leste and Macau.

Vietnam will be up against Macau (China) on July 21st, and Republic of Korea on the 23rd.

Only the top two teams will be able to qualify for the AFC U23 Championship held in China, next year.

Vietnam Television has announced it will broadcast all qualifier matches of Group I live on VTV6 and VTV6HD.
