Universities required to review programs before 2027 admissions

Under the circular, the updated classification serves as the basis for higher education institutions to organize and manage academic programs.

Universities must review and reorganize their degree offerings and curricula in accordance with the new regulations.

Appendix II identifies programs affected by the revisions, including those being renamed, incorporated into broader disciplines or assigned new program codes.

However, a change in a program's name does not necessarily mean it is an entirely new degree.

Similarly, the removal of a discipline as a standalone category does not automatically require universities to immediately discontinue the corresponding academic programs.
