Vietnam topped the medal table of the Jiu-Jitsu Regional Championships for South East and East Asia which was recently concluded in the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Gymnasium in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese athletes pocketed ten gold medals, seven of which were won by those from Hanoi.

This year, the competition attracted over 100 competitors from ten countries and territories competing in 18 categories.

Jiu-Jutsu, partly similar to Japanese Judo martial art, was originated in Brazil.

The martial art will be in the Asian Beach Games to be held in the central coastal city of Danang in September.
