During meetings on December 7 with leaders of the Federation Council of Russia (Senate) and the CPRF as part of his on-going working visit to the country, Vuong discussed practical measures to promote the relationship between the two Parties and States in the coming time.

The hosts praised Vietnam’s recent achievements and congratulated the country on the successful hosting of the 25th APEC Summit 2017, saying that this contributed to promoting regional and global peace and cooperation, and the ties between Vietnam and Russia in particular.

At talks with Vice Chairman of Russia’s Federation Council Evgheny Pushmin, the two sides reviewed the long-lasting traditional bilateral relations between the two nations and the increasing ties between their legislative bodies, which are witnessing a strong development.

Many cooperative agreements have been signed between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Russian Federation Council, contributing to deepening the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two people, they said.

Meanwhile at meeting with CPRF President Gennady Zyuganov, the two sides talked the relations of the two parties and countries as well as party-building work.

Zyuganov affirmed the CPRF always highly evaluates the CPV’s role and position in leading the State and society, making Vietnam one of the rapid growing economies in the world for many decades.

Vietnam was an active and prestigious member in the international communist and worker movement, he said, adding that the CPRF always supports the Russian administration’s policies in strengthening relations with Vietnam.

Both host and guest agreed on the necessity to enhance exchange of all-level visits and cooperation and information sharing on activities of each Party and those concerning regional and international issues, while actively coordinating in the international communist and worker movement as well.-VNA
