Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung on February 10 held lengthy and substantive talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Mirzaev Zoiyr in Hanoi.

Mr. Zoiyr serves as the Uzbek Agriculture and Irrigation Minister, and the head of the Complex for Agriculture, Irrigation, Agricultural Products and Consumer Goods Processing.

During the meeting the two leaders discussed issues related to Vietnam-Uzbek cooperation in high-priority areas of bilateral trade and investment with particular emphasis on agriculture including fish farming.

Mr. Dung stressed with satisfaction the positive dynamics of mutual support of the measures to strengthen the relations of friendship and good relations between the two countries over the past 25 years.

During this visit, Mr. Zoiyr  is heading up a contingent of government officials and private business leaders desiring to collaborate with their Vietnamese counterparts in agriculture trade and investment in areas such as rice, farm raised seafood and forestry.
