Vietnam’s women’s national team traveled to Suzhou, China, on the morning of Sept. 2 to begin an important training camp ahead of the women’s football competition at the 2026 Asian Games.

During their first days in Suzhou, coach Hoang Van Phuc and his players will focus on strengthening their fitness, fine-tuning tactical plans and maintaining consistency in form following their domestic league campaigns.

Vietnam are scheduled to play two friendlies during the training camp in China. They will face Jiangsu Nanjing women’s club on Sept. 5 before taking on the Chinese women’s national team in a warm-up match on Sept. 9.

The two matches will give Hoang Van Phuc an opportunity to assess his players’ preparations while continuing to refine his squad and tactical options before the Asian Games.

Following the training camp in Suzhou, Vietnam will travel to Japan for the 2026 Asian Games. The women’s football competition officially kicks off on Sept. 14.

At the 2026 Asian Games, Bich Thuy and her teammates have been drawn in a group alongside hosts Japan, Chinese Taipei and Thailand. The group is expected to be highly competitive.

Vietnam will open their campaign against Chinese Taipei on Sept. 14, before facing hosts Japan on Sept. 17 and Thailand on Sept. 21.
