Vietnamese movie star and director, Ngo Thanh Van appeared on the cover of the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet on February 27 with an exclusive interview.

The image of Ngo Thanh Van came out in both the printed and online newspaper with a 2-page exclusive interview with Norway’s largest newspaper. She was honoured in the article as the first Norwegian person to participate in the famous Hollywood film Star Wars: The Last Jedi. 

2017 was considered a successful year for Van as reaped success in the movie field. She starred in two Hollywood films namely Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Birght.

Van was also listed among top 50 Hollywood stars by International Movie Database (IMDb), the catalog of the global film and TV industry. In addition, she was among top 41 stars mostly searched by Dagbladet.

Ngo Thanh Van and her mother settled in Norway and Van has been known as Veronica Ngo since she was 16 years old.

She was renowned for female roles in local action movies including Dong Mau Anh Hung (The Rebel), Clash and Lua Phat (Once upon a Time in Vietnam). Recently, Van was also successful with the movies "Co Ba Sai Gon" (The Tailor) that she produced and starred in.
