Ambassador to South Africa Vu Van Dung presented his credentials to the country’s President Jacob Zuma on January 24.

The Vietnamese diplomat underlined the growing relations and multi-dimensional cooperation since the establishment of the diplomatic relationship 25 years ago.

Dung pledged that he will do his utmost to contribute to the friendship and sound cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, President Jacob Zuma wished the Ambassador to have a successful working term and help promote his country’ ties broadly.

He said democracy in his country has been consolidated over the past 20 years, while economy has been improved, external relations expanded, and the status in the international arena heightened.

South Africa will work with regional nations and international partners to ensure long-term peace and stability, the President affirmed.
