Hoang Kieu, according to Doi Song & Phap Luat, is the richest Vietnamese-born businessman in the US. He has assets worth $3.8 billion, ranking 149th among 400 richest people in the US and the 847th on Forbes’ billionaires’ list.

Kieu, 71, is now vice president of Shanghai RAAS Blood Products, a plasma manufacturing firm.

Well known as one of the 17 American immigrant success stories mentioned in Dan Rather's book The American Dream, Trung Dung now has $1.8 billion, though three decades ago, in 1985, he arrived in Boston with just two dollars in his pocket.

Dung was the founder and technology director of OnDisplay. In 1999, he sold OnDisplay for $1.8 billion. After that, he became the founder and CEO of Fogbreak Solutions.

His life story has been profiled in many leading publications including Forbes, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and San Francisco Chronicle.

In 2011, Munchery was refused by most of the programs on supporting startups at Silicon Valley. 

Meanwhile, Munchery became well known, with a value of $300 million, and services available in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Seattle.

Doan Tri Trung, one of the founders of Semiled in Idaho State, is called the ‘rising star in LED chip’. He is the owner and co-owner of 250 electrical engineering.

The company specializes in semiconductor devices, and launched an IPO in 2010. It is believed to lead the LED chip market.

Bill Nguyen, who began working as an assistant to second-hand car dealers, has been recognized by Forbes as one of the 40 richest under-40 people in the US and MSNBC, a media group, as capable of changing the face of the global information technology. He has set up seven businesses.

Tran Dinh Truong, with assets worth $1 billion, is the owner of many hotels in New York.
