These themes were at the center of discussions shared with Vietnam's business community by experts from Gori and NTQ during an industry event held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 31.

Titled Gori Global Logistics Summit 2026: The Future of Cross-Border Logistics & AI-Powered Shipping, the event was co-hosted by Gori, a US-based company specializing in digital transformation solutions for supply chain and logistics operations, and NTQ, a global technology and digital transformation partner.

The summit examined emerging trends in logistics and e-commerce while offering practical recommendations to help Vietnamese businesses strengthen their competitiveness in international markets. Robert Raines Jr., a former senior executive at the United States Postal Service (USPS), delivered a keynote address highlighting how import regulations and customs clearance requirements have become more stringent in recent years.

For Vietnamese businesses targeting the US market, he emphasized the importance of closely monitoring regulatory developments both in the United States and globally while remaining flexible enough to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.

He also stressed that working with logistics partners capable of responding quickly to market shifts can provide a competitive advantage, particularly during periods when competitors scale back operations. In addition, he noted that air freight has become an increasingly practical and cost-effective option for shipping smaller parcels alongside traditional ocean freight.

Building on this international perspective, NTQ Chairman Pham Thai Son and Business Development Director Lanh Hai Long shared their views on how technology can enhance operational capabilities across global supply chains.

Their recommendations included developing unified digital platforms, standardizing data collection and integrating AI solutions to improve forecasting, analytics and the automation of manual processes throughout the logistics chain - from warehouse operations to final delivery.

NTQ also presented practical examples of solutions jointly developed with Gori to help logistics providers and e-commerce businesses improve operational efficiency while responding more effectively to supply chain disruptions.

Beyond the keynote presentations, participants engaged directly with experts from leading domestic and international companies.

Speakers noted that Vietnam enjoys several competitive advantages, including a vibrant e-commerce sector and rapidly expanding on-demand manufacturing capabilities. However, they also identified growing uncertainty in international markets - particularly changing US tariff policies and trade regulations - as one of the most significant challenges facing exporters.

To address these risks, experts encouraged businesses to stay informed about policy developments, invest in digital technologies, strengthen cost management and shipment visibility, and maintain the flexibility needed to respond quickly to changing market conditions.
