Most of the errors, relatively serious, occur with cameras, the screen and Home button.

Vat Vo (Tran Xuan Vinh), a renowned Vlogger, said his camera, which was working perfectly before, suddenly became black and did not allow him to take pictures or videos. 

Vinh said he tried to reset the smartphone and restart firmware, but that could not help.

“Errors with camera often occur with my iPhone 7,” said Minh Anh Dinh, on her Facebook account. The problem was fixed after the phone was upgraded with iOS 10.2. “The problem might be in the software,” she said.

However, others complained that their cameras cannot work even though they have upgraded Apple’s latest operating system version. They have to use new cameras.

Nguyen Dat from Vien Di Dong chain in district 10, HCM City, said errors with cameras are commonly seen. Many users have to have cameras fixed or replaced with new ones.

Other users complained they have problems with the screen, multitasks and alarms as well.

Tran Gia An said his iPhone screen has become violet and sometimes the Home button doesn’t work, while Facebook automatically logs out. Others have problems with directory, dialing or typing Vietnamese.

Those who buy iPhone 7 from authorized distributors can have their phones changed or use maintenance services. 

Meanwhile, those, who buy the products brought across border gates and retailed by private shops, will have to pay to have accessories changed.

Vinh, the Vlogger, said he was disappointed with his iPhone. “I have been using iPhone for a long time and I usually update to the latest version of iPhone. However, I am getting tired of it,” he said.

Some analysts also commented that the quality of Apple’s smartphones is no longer stable. They heard many compliments that iPhones have to be restarted regularly for use.

“If Apple cannot improve product quality, it will lose loyal clients,” an analyst commented.

“iPhone is not a low-cost product, and when paying highfor it, clients have the right to demand for high quality,” he said. “However, it seems that Apple tends to be increasingly easy on its products”.

iPhone 7 Jet Black was once the favorite choice for many Vietnamese, who were willing to pay 50 percent more (up to VND30 million) to get the version. However, many have regretted their decision. 

Jet Black iPhone 7 can get scratched even in normal conditions of use. Since the smartphone is black, the scratches are more easily seen.
