His goal at the 70th minute played a key role in helping his club beat Goyang Citizen 2-0 and bag their first three points in the opener of the fifth-grade competition in South Korea.
Midfielder Khoi used to be a member of the Vietnam U23 team under Japanese coach Toshya Miura in 2014. The team entered the quarter-finals at the Incheon Asian Games in South Korea.
Before signing a one-year contract with Siheung City, Khoi played for first division side Dak Lak FC.
Khoi is one of the many Vietnamese players who have competed in South Korea. While the others have returned home, he is the sole Vietnamese in the country, and the only one who could score a goal here. — VNS
