Vietnamese President to visit Tanzania, Mozambique, Iran
President Truong Tan Sang and his spouse will pay State visits to Tanzania, Mozambique and Iran from March 9 – 15, according to the Foreign Ministry’s communiqué.
The visits are made at the invitation of Tanzanian President John Magufuli, Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Leaders send condolences to Fiji
President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung have condoled the serious loss to human lives and assets caused by Typhoon Winston recently in Fiji.
They extended their condolences to Fiji President Jiojo Konousi Konrote and Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama.
Also yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh cabled a message of condolence to his Fijian counterpart Ratu Inoke Kabuabola.
The tropical cyclone, which struck last month, killed at least 43 people.
An estimated 59,000 people, more than 6 per cent of Fiji's population, are reportedly living in evacuation centres.
