Truong Quoc Dung is the only referee from Vietnam invited to participate in the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U20 Futsal Championship.

Dung (right) is to referee at the upcoming Asian Football Confederation U20 Futsal Championship. 

Dung was recognised as a FIFA referee in 2009. He is one of the most experienced among Viet Nam’s senior referees.

The 35-year-old is a familiar face, having worked at AFC tournaments for years.

Last year, he judged five games, of which, in two matches he was the main referee at the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia.

Dung will leave for Thailand on Friday to prepare for the tournament, which also sees the participation of the Vietnamese team.

The championship will kick off on May 16 and end 10 days later in Bangkok.
