VietNamNet Bridge – Two Vietnamese and one Swedish tourist drowned while swimming at  Bai Sau Beach, Vung Tau City.

The incident occurred on March 14. The three victims are Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, 28, Mr. Vu Van Cong 26, and Mr. Sjogard Peter Larson, 43.

They were rescued by local people. However, only the two Vietnamese tourists survived. Cong has left the hospital while Ha is still in treatment. The Swedish tourist died. His body was handed over to the relevant agencies for an autopsy.

Doctor Vu Thi Phuong Nga - Head of the Intensive Care Ward of Le Loi Hospital - said she had treated many similar cases.

“Most of the patients go swimming upon arriving in the city and it is very dangerous," the doctor said.
