Vietnamese Paralympic swimmer Trinh Thi Bich Nhu finished sixth in the final of the women’s 100m breaststroke, SB5 category, at the ongoing Rio Paralympics in Brazil.

She clocked a time of 1:51:07, beating her result in the qualifying round of 1:52:06.

The gold and silver medal went to Mereshoko Yelyzaveta and Savtsova Viktoriia of Ukraine with a time of 1:41.63 and 1:42.14, respectively. Song Lingling of China took bronze with a time of 1:45.21.

Earlier, Nhu finished eighth in the 50m butterfly.

On the men’s side, Do Thanh Hai ranked seventh with a time of 1:40:31. Forsman Karl of Sweden won gold with a time of 1:34:27. 

Lim Woo Geun of South Korea received silver with a time of 1:35:18 and Ragel Pedro of Mexico got the bronze medal with a time of 1:37:84.

In the men’s 100m breaststroke SB4, Nguyen Thanh Trung placed sixth with a time of 1:49:67.
