The Vietnamese men’s national football team will fly to the Republic of Korea (RoK) for a short training course as part of preparations for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2018.

After finishing their historic journey at ASIAD 2018, the Vietnamese team led by head coach Park Hang Seo, will have more than a month to prepare for the AFF Cup 2018, including a 2 week training camp in the RoK.

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan said the Vietnamese team with about 28 footballers will gather from October 11, when they will have 33 days to prepare for the AFF Cup.

The national team will train in the RoK’s Paju National Football Center from October 13-28, where they will play 3 friendly matches.

They will then fly to Hanoi to play in an international friendly tournament on November 2 or 3. The VFF is currently choosing rivals from the western region of Asia or the Europe to play with Vietnam in the tournament.

After the Nuti Café V-League 1 - 2018 concludes, head coach Park Hang Seo will call up 28 footballers to the national football team.
