Having been familiar with Halloween for a long time, Duy Anh and his younger sister Thuy Trang have always enjoyed the eventful and spooky atmosphere.

Now, in their witch costumes, the siblings are ready to join in “trick or treat” games.

“I’m very excited, I love my Halloween costumes and I want to celebrate Halloween every year because it’s interesting,” Duy Anh said. “There are a lot of funny games during the celebration.”

Many youngsters welcome the festival by wearing monstrous masks or making their faces scary.

“People decorated their faces, it looks scary but funny,” Thuy Trang said.

Halloween celebration has been observed in Western countries for ages but it’s been celebrated in Vietnam in recent years.

Ebullient games and plays have livened up the festival and received warm response from local audiences.

“The drawing on my face is Joker. I love this figure since I was a kid and I have always wanted to disguise myself as him,” said Le Thanh Tung from Hanoi’s Long Bien district.
