VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese police officers began wearing their new spring-summer uniforms on June 6.

The new uniforms have the same colors as the previous ones, but are made of better quality materials.

This is the first change of police uniforms since 1998.

Under a government decision, the Ministry of Public Security was allowed to change the spring-summer and autumn-winter uniforms for all police forces. Police officers will start wearing the autumn-winter uniforms on November 1.

The new uniforms aim to make police uniforms more easily noticed, according to the Ministry of Public Security said.
