Vietnam’s top 50 IT companies generated a total revenue of nearly VND28 trillion (US$1.25 billion) last year, according to Nguyen Thi Thu Giang, General Secretary of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA).

The companies contributed 35.3% to the total revenue of the software and digital content sector and are employing more than 30,500 workers, equivalent to nearly one fifth of the sector’s workforce.

The 50 companies include 20 in business process outsourcing, IT outsourcing and knowledge process outsourcing; 26 in software, IT solutions and services and four in digital content, mobile applications and solutions.

The figures were revealed on October 24 at a press conference to launch the annual book on Vietnam’s 50 leading IT companies selected from nearly 100 nominations.

The publication of the book is designed to introduce outstanding Vietnamese IT companies to potential customers both at home and abroad via the national trade promotion programme as well as the programme run by VINASA.

Information about these companies in the book is available in Vietnamese, English and Japanese.
