This is Minh's lowest world ranking in the past one year.

In the recent past, 32-year-old Minh took part only in several small-scale events to accumulate points to secure a berth in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. However, his performance was not good.

Minh was defeated in the quarter-final of the 2015 Bahrain International Challenge earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese player Vu Thi Trang has jumped two spots to 52nd in the world's women singles rankings.
