Top Vietnamese female swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien failed in both women’s 200m breaststroke and 400m freestyle stroke at the first day competition of Arena Pro Swim Series in the US on February 3.

In the qualifying round of women’s 200m breaststroke, with a time of 2:34.56, Vien ranked 18 among 23 swimmers and could not earn ticket to enter the finale.

Vien’s best performance in this category is 2:31.16, which she won a gold medal on the last day of the swimming competition of the 28th Southeast Asian Games.

In women’s 400m freestyle stroke, the 21-year-old girl clocked a time of 4:13.37, good enough to qualify for the final round.

However, she touched the pad at 4:19.34, ranking bottom place in the finale.
