It has reached 90 million subscribers in Việt Nam and its nine other international markets, Laos, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Cameroon, Haiti, Mozambique, Burundi, Peru, and Tanzania.

Viettel's overseas subscriber base has increased 2.5 times in three years to 26 million.

The military company provides coverage of 95 per cent of all its markets.

In the first half of this year its international revenues were worth nearly US$494 million, a year-on-year increase of 13 per cent.

Now Viettel's mobile internet services are booming, with its turnover in the second half of the year expected to nearly double year-on-year as data turnover has nearly doubled and 3G subscriptions have increased by 50 per cent in the last six months.

The market is expected to grow very fast in the near future and Viettel plans to improve the quality of 3G services and expand 4G services in its international markets.
