On August 28, the national exhibition marking 80 years since the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day opened in Hanoi.

Under the theme “80 years of the journey of independence - freedom - happiness,” the event runs from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center. It honors the country's major achievements in defense, development, and innovation under the leadership of the Communist Party and the government.

Viettel's latest technologies are featured in exhibition zones hosted by the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Construction, and the Hanoi People's Committee.

At the outdoor military technology display area, Viettel introduced a series of “Make in Vietnam, Made by Viettel” innovations. These include heavy self-propelled artillery systems, anti-aircraft guns, integrated air defense and maritime surveillance radar systems, long-range multi-role unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), anti-UAV complexes, secure communication systems, the S-125-VT missile system, and the Truong Son missile complex.

The 152mm ground artillery system is a highly mobile heavy-caliber weapon providing long-range fire support for infantry and armored units. The 57mm anti-aircraft gun is designed to protect critical locations such as airports, ports, and military bases from aerial threats including aircraft, helicopters, paratroopers, missiles, and UAVs. These systems integrate advanced ballistic computing, fire control systems, and electronic warfare capabilities.

The multi-role, long-range UAV is a strategic-level aircraft capable of real-time reconnaissance, target designation, electronic surveillance, communications relay, and strike missions, thanks to its versatile payload options. Its extended operational range and long-endurance design make it suitable for missions across diverse terrains - from inland and border areas to islands and maritime zones - even under complex weather conditions.

The tactical UAV reconnaissance and jamming system is an advanced combat solution developed by Vietnamese engineers. It can detect, identify, track, and jam enemy UAVs to secure vital locations.

The S-125-VT complex, researched and upgraded by Viettel, is capable of neutralizing airstrike threats. Meanwhile, the Truong Son missile system is a domestically developed shore-launched cruise missile platform for anti-ship operations.

Viettel also introduced its quadrupedal robot developed in-house, capable of applications in complex terrains and conditions.

Speaking about the group’s technology strategy, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Viettel, stated: “Viettel has focused on implementing strategic research programs and is contributing to the development of nine out of eleven national strategic technologies. This approach aligns with the implementation of Resolution 57 by the Politburo, which targets breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Viettel will continue to take on new and challenging missions to meet the expectations and vision set forth by these historic resolutions.”

In addition to military systems, Viettel is showcasing its digital technology products, including 5G base stations and chips, smart cities, smart factories, cybersecurity platforms, urban digitization solutions, and AI-powered virtual assistants.

These products highlight Viettel’s role as a pioneer in shaping a digital society, providing critical infrastructure for digital transformation through 5G connectivity and applications across all sectors. Viettel’s innovations in telecommunications, semiconductors, robotics, and cybersecurity represent key areas among the nine national strategic technologies the group is helping to advance.
