Cam Mountain is considered a beautiful silk brocade. It is the highest and most grandiose mountain in the That Son (Seven Mountains) area in Tinh Bien district. The landscape in this area charms like a painting that fascinates every visitor.

Cam Mountain has an altitude of 705m and has a circumference of 28,600m. The weather on the mountain is influenced by tropical monsoons and has an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.

The mountain also has a fascinating natural environment with flowers all year round that create a “splendid painting”. It is famous for many peaks of different heights with different name, such as Thien Tue, Bo Hong, Ong Buom, Dau and Ba. The name of each peak is associated with a legend and each has a meaning. Pilgrims often visit these peaks to pray.

Along the walkways, there are other attractions, such as Phao Binh and Chu Than Peaks; Rau Tan, Cuu Pham, Kin and Cay Que Temples; Ong Ho and Thuy Tien Caves, and Muoi Co Shrine.

In spring, during the day, it is cool and fresh with green and lush trees but at night it is rather cold. In the early morning, the mountain is covered with a white fog. In the evening, it is covered with clouds. From the top of the mountain, visitors have a panoramic view of vast rice fields stretching to the Ha Tien sea and the southwestern border. With its renowned scenery the area has become a popular tourist site.

Cam Mountain is widely known for its diverse ecosystem, spiritual values, and unique beliefs. The thrilling tales of the hermits who lived in seclusion and practiced meditation for enlightenment have been passed down through many generations.

Those stories are considered a foundation for the locals to achieve human endurance, courage, and kindness. Cam Mountain became a symbol of the locality and a place that preserves and conserves natural and cultural treasures created by the Supernatural Spirit.

“Riding the wind, hunting clouds” is a phrase that young tourists often refer to when they visit Cam Mountain.

The landscape is majestic in all the four seasons. On tourism forums, many travelers excitedly shared their cloud-hunting photos at Cam Mountain, in the “Cloud-hunting Paradise”, in the southwestern region, and showed their interest and surprise at such breathtaking scenery.

Tourists should wake up early to hunt clouds and admire mountainous landscapes and winding paths. The early morning is the best time to hunt clouds. Visitors can enjoy an artistic cloud performance in the sky. Clouds float from the foot of the mountain, circle around the mountain, move to the peak, and scud away with winds.

Traveling to the higher position - the Vo Bo Hong peak - tourists can experience a feeling of touching and catching clouds and admire the panorama and immense paddy fields sprawling to the coastal area of Ha Tien and the southwestern border.

Mr. Phuc Khang, a travel enthusiast, said: “I am very passionate about discovering new lands. Indeed, this mountain is really a paradise with clouds covering, the wind whistling, and it is a place not to be missed for those who like to hunt clouds like me.”
