Mexican sculptor Paloma Torres will meet with local sculptors and discuss her art at Da Nang’s Fine Arts Museum on April 7.

Street stories sculpture by Paloma Torres at Da Nang city’s Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Park last year. 


Torres, 58, received her bachelor’s degree from the School of Visual Art in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where she also earned her master’s in colour engraving.

Torres has participated in more than 100 exhibitions in Mexico and abroad, creating large columns and other pieces inspired by natural landscapes and modern cities. 

Torres’ Street stories work was laid at Da Nang City’s Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Park among 21 sculptures from member economies of the group during the APEC Summit last November.

The exchange will start at 9am on April 7 at the museum, 78 Le Duan street. — VNS
