Vietnam won four silver and three bronze medals at the Cambodian Southeast Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships that ended on July 12.
On the last day of competition in Phnom Penh, Vu Quang Hien won the bronze medal in the boys’ U18 singles category.
Last year, the team had won one silver medal and five bronze medals.
Singapore made a clean sweep of the gold medals in the team events for the first time to top the medal tally.
Besides four team titles, the 14-member strong youth contingent also won six gold, five silver and six bronze medals in the four-day tournament.
Players from six other Asean countries - Laos, the Philippines, Cambodia and Thailand, besides Vietnam and Malaysia – also competed in the 22nd edition of the championships.
