The meeting on June 25 aimed to bolster cooperation in the digital economy and the digital transformation of industrial sectors between the two countries.
During the session, the ministers shared each country's major development strategies on digital economy and digital transformation, discussing new initiatives and cooperation programs to expand activities between their respective ministries, organizations, and enterprises.
Chinese Minister Jin Zhuanglong expressed his pleasure at meeting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung again, following their previous meeting in December 2023.
He praised the ongoing efforts to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two ministries, signed during the official visit of General Secretary and President of China, Xi Jinping, to Vietnam at the end of 2023.
In light of rapid commercialization of new technology applications and the accelerating digital transformation across industries, both ministers agreed to further cooperation between relevant organizations and enterprises. They emphasized the importance of testing and applying technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and 5G across various fields.
The ministers also committed to increasing the exchange of leadership and expert delegations, organizing seminars and thematic forums to share information, discuss potential cooperation, and explore new opportunities.
