Viet Nam finished at the bottom of the CFA Four National Tournament that concluded in China’s Guangdong Province on Tuesday.
The ASEAN champions lost 0-2 to archrival Thailand on the last day of the competition, with two goals belonging to Taneekarn Dangda at the 84th minute and Sung-Ngoen at the first additional minute of the second half.
Viet Nam had earlier lost 0-4 to the host and were defeated 0-2 by Colombia.
China won the tournament with three wins, followed by Colombia who scored two wins and one loss.
The tournament was an invitational event whereby China wanted to sharpen their skills ahead of the Asian Women’s Football Cup in Jordan in April, where China, Thailand and Viet Nam will participate. — VNS
