More than 116 million shares worth over 3.89 trillion VND (170.39 million USD) were exchanged on the HoSE on the day.
Among large-cap stocks, BVH and SAB suffered a drop of 900 VND and 3,900 VND per share, respectively. Meanwhile, the prices of CTG, GAS, MSN, VIC and VCB increased 50-4,400 VND per share.
The VN30, which measures the performance of 30 stocks with the highest market capitalisation and liquidity on the HoSE, gained 9.83 points to close at 1,018.59 points, with nearly 35 million shares being traded, equivalent to 1.72 trillion VND (75.48 million USD). There were 19 gainers, seven declining stocks and four flat codes.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased by 0.18 points to settle at 116.66 points, with total transaction value reaching nearly 468 billion VND (20.51 million USD).
The HNX30 closed at 210.39 points, a rise of 1.49 points with 15 million shares changed hands for 278 billion VND (12.18 million USD).
The UPCOM-Index on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) saw a slight increase of 0.2 points to 53.2 points, with 8 million shares worth 260 billion VND (11.39 million USD) traded.-VNA
