Vietnam’s top female badminton player Vu Thi Trang was ousted from the Celcom Axiata Malaysia International Challenge 2016 badminton tournament in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah yesterday.

No 3 seed Trang was defeated by Yen Mei Ho of Malaysia 21-7, 22-20 in the quarter-final match.

Earlier, No 1 seed Nguyen Tien Minh lost 21-13, 18-21, 21-12 to Indian Ramachandran Satheishtharan. 

Duo Bao Minh and Duong Bao Duc were defeated 16-21, 21-19, 15-21 by Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif and Watchara Buranakuea of Malaysia.
