PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed effective cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao Ministries of Home Affairs, which has made positive contributions to the two nations’ friendly relations.

The PM made that statement on September 29 at his reception for Lao Minister of Home Affairs Khammanh Sounvileuth who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.
The PM asserted that Viet Nam is willing to support Laos in training human resources, adding that both countries have agreed to improve the quality of training for Lao students in Viet Nam.
He took the occasion to say that Viet Nam is focusing on reducing the number of State employees while improving the quality of the State apparatus in a bid to increase the effectiveness of the State sector.
The Lao Minister affirmed that his working visit to Viet Nam is aimed at tightening the cooperative relationship with the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs, expecting to receive more support from the Vietnamese Government in organizing the State apparatus.
On behalf of the Lao Government, he expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people for huge assistance for Laos over the recent years.
