Nguyen Anh Tu brought home a gold medal in the men’s singles category at the 10th SEA Table Tennis Championships 2016, which wrapped up in Indonesia on Saturday.

Tu beat Singapore’s Shao Feng Ethan 11-6, 11-7, 11-5, 11-9 in the final to take the title.

“I am very happy with this gold medal. It is a driving force for me to strive more,” said Tu.

In the women’s singles final, Mai Hoang My Trang won a silver medal, after losing to Lin Ye of Singapore 4-1.

Earlier, Viet Nam won two gold medals in the men’s and women’s team.
