The competition called Volvo Hong Kong to Vietnam Race 2017 will take place in the central coastal city of Nha Trang from October 18-25.

The race is expected to draw around 180 foreign contestants from Great Britain, Italy, China, Russia, Australia, Singapore and China’s Hong Kong.

The biennial Volvo Hong Kong to Vietnam Race 2017 will be run under the auspices of Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) and the RORC Offshore Special Regulations.

The 673nm predominantly downwind run to Nha Trang Beach in Vietnam is supported by Saigontourist Travel Service Company.

Racing kicks off on October  18 on Victoria Harbor in front of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s flagship Clubhouse at Kellett Island, China’s Hong Kong.
