After hearing discussions on the draft working report of the legislature and its agencies in the 13th tenure (2011-2016) on March 28, Giang Van Quyet, a voter from Hanoi, highlighted the NA’s effective activities over the last tenure, noting the issuance of the 2013 Constitution and the approval of 222 codes, laws, resolutions and ordinances.

He said NA deputies effectively performed their responsibilities regarding supervision and decision-making on national matters , especially in managing the economy, maintaining political stability and safeguarding the nation’s territory.

Sharing Quyet’s opinion, voters Vo Van Nhon from the central province of Quang Nam and Huynh Tac from the southern province of Binh Duong said the quality of discussion at NA sessions and its activities have improved remarkably, satisfying the people’s aspirations. They added that the people have greater confidence in NA deputies.

At the same time, voter Doan Ngoc Anh, also from Quang Nam, said laws issued by the NA during its 13 th tenure made the country’s institutions more transparent.

He stressed that NA deputies should keep a close watch on the settlement of shortcomings promised to be solved by the Government’s members – especially those related to socio-economic development and social welfare.

Many voters in Binh Duong also showed their interest in issues discussed during the event, saying that more attention and a stronger voice from NA deputies are needed to reflect voters’ expectations.

Uncompleted works in the last tenure should be solved thoroughly during the coming tenure, said voter Nguyen Ngoc Son from Binh Duong.
