The 2024 VTV Awards concluded with an intense competition among six outstanding actors. Familiar faces and emerging talents delivered remarkable performances, making it a challenge for viewers to select their favorites.

Thanh Huong’s double role victory

Thanh Huong claimed the title of Most Impressive Actress for her stellar portrayal of two contrasting characters.

She captivated audiences with her role as a modern, resourceful stepmother in Hoa sua ve trong gio (Fragrant White Flowers in the Wind) and as a selfish, greedy sister-in-law in Nguoi mot nha (Under One Roof).

Her ability to transform and showcase her versatile acting skills left a lasting impression.

Receiving the award on New Year’s Day, Thanh Huong expressed deep gratitude while holding back tears:

"I don’t want to cry on the first day of the year."

She thanked her colleagues and fans for their support and promised to continue striving to deserve the love she had received.

The impressive nominees

Hoang Ha: She dazzled viewers with her debut television role as Mai Duong in Chung ta cua 8 nam sau (Eight Years Later), portraying a lively and innocent student with natural chemistry alongside co-star Quoc Anh.

Luong Thu Trang: Surprised audiences with her compelling performance as the antagonist An Nhien in Tram cuu ho trai tim (Heart Rescue Station), vividly bringing to life a memorable villain.

Duy Hung: A year of transformation

Duy Hung took home the Most Impressive Actor award after a standout year with two vastly different roles.

In Doc dao (The Sole Path), he portrayed Khương "Lieu," a bold and rugged character.

In stark contrast, his role as Tri in Nguoi mot nha showcased emotional depth and complexity, demonstrating his range as an actor.

After receiving the award, Duy Hung shared his joy, saying:

"It’s such a lively crowd! I wish all the best to the audience."

He thanked the organizers, Vietnam Television, the Hanoi Drama Theater, and his film crews for enabling him to shine.

"Most importantly, I’m grateful to the audience for supporting young artists like me," he added.

The impressive male nominees

Quang Su: Delivered a gripping performance as Nghia in Tram cuu ho trai tim, transitioning from his usual kind-hearted roles to a psychologically complex antagonist torn between good and evil.

Long Vu: Made waves with his debut leading role as Chai in Di giua troi ruc ro (Under the Glorious Sky). He portrayed a brash and impulsive young man from the Dao ethnic group, capturing hearts with his natural and vibrant acting style.
