In addition to the Albatross yacht, Quyet owned luxury cars, including a Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman, a Rolls-Royce Phantom Sacred Fire worth VND50 billion, and a gold plated Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The yacht, which has not sold after seven auctions, has been seized by BIDV QuyNhon to recover debts. It was put up for auction for the first time in November 2022 at the starting price of VND36 billion.
In January 2024, the starting price was lowered by Minh Phap Auction JSC to VND23.294 billion for the seventh auction, or VND13 billion lower than the starting price set two years ago. However, the yacht still failed to find buyers.
Minh Phap Auction told VietNamNet that the two parties (Minh Phap and BIDV Quy Nhon) have terminated the auction contract. This means that Minh Phap no longer is the auction organizer, while BIDV Quy Nhon remains silent about seeking a partner for asset liquidation.
Albatross owned by the FLC Group could seat 12 persons. It was a Galeon 660 Fly boat built in Poland in 2017, 16.62 meters long and 4.88 meters wide, with four bedrooms.
Besides the yacht, Quyet was famous as the owner of luxury cars. One was S600 Pullman imported in 2019 (2017 series), which was the second such car to dock at Vietnam ports. Though the car was used by Quyet regularly, its fate remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the two Rolls-Royces are better known because information about the auctions of the two cars often appeared in newspapers with the prices decreasing.
In July 2023, the two cars were bought by a car showroom in an auction.
The gold-plated Rolls-Royce Ghost was transferred to a new owner at an unknown price shortly after the auction by BIDV Quy Nhon Bank.
At the first auction, held in November 2022, Rolls Royce Ghost was offered at the starting price of VND10 billion. It was sold at the sixth auction with the starting price set at VND8.57 billion.
As for Rolls Royce Phantom Sacred Fire, though it was imported for VND50 billion, it was offered at just VND25 billion. The luxury car was sold at the seventh auction, where the starting price was VND16.6 billion.
