This is the third public White List (list of recommended content) and Black List (list of content in violation) applied by MIC since mid-2022 to improve advertisement activities on the internet.

The White List shows the accounts and content channels that the MIC Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information (ABEI) recommends for their advertisements. The right choice will help ensure safety for brands and help develop the advertising and digital ecosystems in a safe and healthy way.

The Black List includes websites with signs of violating laws that ABEI has warned about. Businesses and advertisers should not cooperate or run ads on these websites.

The White List was published by MIC for the first time in March 2023 and two updates were issued in October 2023 and February 2024.

In the latest update, the White List shows 3,066 accounts, content channels, community pages and community groups of press agencies, radio and television channels, institutions and individuals providing, creating and using digital content.

The number of content channels recommended has increased by 947 compared with the October 2023 version.

As for the Black List, since May 2022, MIC has published the lists of websites with signs of violating laws and requested brands and ad firms not to run ads on the websites.

The January 2024 Black List showed the names of 403 websites, including ones providing ads about illegal betting and electronic games. As many as 98 websites have been added to the Black List, which included familiar names, including 1*bet.com, 1*bet88vn.net, thethao**.org, fb88***.com hay king368*.com.

The list includes the names of violating websites that ABEI checked and announced in 2022 and 2023, with 24 websites named in May 2022, 49 in September 2022, 98 in December 2022, and 232 in late 2023.

The regular publication of the lists of content channels recommended for cooperation, and of content channels that businesses should keep away from has been applauded by businesses becayse they help them observe the regulations stipulated in the decrees that guide the implementation of the Law on Advertisement.

Businesses, goods brands and advertisement agencies can look up information on ABEI’s information portal at abei.gov.vn.

Under Decree 702021 dated July 20, 2021, MIC has the responsibility of releasing lists of electronic information pages violating the laws.
