The final round of English Champion 2019 competition co-organized by IvyPrep Education and iSMART Education was held on April 7, naming five champions who are students from grades four to eight.

The five champions are Duong Trong Viet from Nghia Do Primary School in Hanoi, Ho Viet Minh from Vietnam Australia International School in HCMC, Nguyen Vy Phong from HanoiStar School in Hanoi, Doan Tran Bao Giang from Wellspring International Bilingual School in HCMC, and Nguyen Hai Duong from Le Loi Secondary School in Hanoi.

Each champion was awarded an English Champion 2019 golden cup, a one-year IvyPrep Education scholarship worth VND60 million, a Kindle Paperwhite, books from iSMART Education, and IDP International Dairy JSC’s milk product for free in one year.

Each runner-up received an English Champion 2019 silver cup, a six-month IvyPrep Education scholarship worth VND30 million, a smart health watch, books from iSMART Education, and IDP International Dairy JSC’s milk product for free in six months.

They also received gifts from iSMART Education, Dreamlab, Vietnamese American Vocational Training College, and Kun milk products.

English Champion is an annual competition for fourth graders to eighth graders from across the country. This year’s competition focused on social issues such as creating a mobile application to help HCMC citizens avoid the city’s urban transportation problems, a plan for recycling batteries, and presentations on “money can buy happiness.”
