A woman gave birth to a healthy baby girl on a HCM City –Ha Noi train on Tuesday, according to the head of Phuong Nam Train Crew Thai Van Truyen.

Bui Thi Tinh, 33, of central Nghe An Province, was traveling on the Thong Nhat SE18 train, which departed from HCM City on Monday.

When the train arrived at central Quang Binh Province, the train crew helped in the delivery of the baby.

The mother and baby left the train at Huong Pho Station in central Ha Tinh Province, where they received additional medical care.

Last month, another woman from central Thanh Hoa Province gave birth to a baby girl on HCM City-Ha Noi Train SE8.

The train manager, Nguyen Tan Tai, phoned Hue station for emergency assistance. At the same time, he and staff members assisted the pregnant woman.

This is the third time train manager Tai helped in the delivery of babies aboard the train, he said.
