Koji Kitawaga, chairman of Yokohama, asked HAGL president Doan Nguyen Duc for this during a recent meeting between the two sides.
21-year-old Anh is a former footballer of the U19 Vietnam team. He signed a one-year loan contract with the Japanese club for the 2016 season. He hasn’t played any matches for his new team yet. But he is highly appreciated for his talent and for his hard work in training and in learning Japanese.
Kitawaga also said he was ready to let Anh return to Vietnam to wear the U23 national team jersey at any time.
Earlier, Mito Hollyhock club President Kunio Numata also asked Duc for a one-year contract extension for HAGL striker Nguyen Cong Phuong.
HAGL president Duc hasn’t answered yet.
